Feast
Part 1
So there we were, minding our own business.
Happily dealing with yet another beautiful, dry winter, and making the most of whatever
marginal surf we could scrounge up. There had been a wave famine.
And then, around the middle of January,
more frequent swells with a bit more size started appearing.
Winter swell + summer sun = crowded beaches.
The wave starved masses came out in droves….
And occasionally manners were tossed by the wayside.
This dude got some nice ones on his Costco Special.
Kairi Noro was shredding it.
This guy kept his cool and worked his way through the traffic nicely.
The swell was decent, but the lulls were long.
Every session has a stand out,
and this one was a young Goleta grom by the name of Jake Quittner.
Every time we turned around there he was again, breaking out of the pack on his micro
Loose Cannons Unlimited board.
And having a ball doing it.
Yew!
“Don’t even think about it SUPPER!”
We were cautiously optimistic about this being the start of our surf season.
We had no idea what was about to come our way….
Stay tuned to see more soon.
