Part 3

Saturday, January 25th, 2014.
Our favorite mushy beginner point break was transformed into a world class wave.

There were the usual soft tops and SUPs around,
but the guys getting the set waves were on longboards.

We saw several guys go from the point all the way down past the jailhouse.

And at twice the normal speed of Devereux, or Everslow, as it’s affectionately known to some.

Perfect glassy conditions and warm sunshine.

The crowd really wasn’t bad here, there were more onlookers than actual surfers.

Mr. Stoker was on hand, keeping things under control.
Stoked, as always!

Sunday, January 26th, 2013

The sun got covered up, but the waves kept coming.

Trevor Scoggins was on it early, eager to soak up as much of this swell as possible.

Paul Ruben was enjoying some nice rides as well.

As was his son.
What a great way to spend a Sunday!

Another Goleta local, Mike Alexander was enjoying his home turf.

The sky got darker and some raindrops fell.
Maybe the drought of waves AND rain was ending!

We were astounded by all the empty perfection zipping by.

Some spots had an aggressive local crew.
” You wanna surf here, you gotta get by me….”

Sometimes, the sweeper becomes the sweepee….
What a shame.

We headed into another work week, with the waves still coming.
Maybe Monday folks will be surfed out….
