Mellow Monday
February 25th, 2008
The day after an unusually fast moving western swell rocked Goleta’s coast,
nice waves still lingered and the conditions were ideal.
Soft offshores caressed the set waves, keeping them open for the
lucky few that were there to greet them.
Some folks said it was a disappointment after the excitement of Sunday.
Even so, these were great waves by Goleta standards. In a couple of months,
we’ll be fantasizing about these days.
Have a face full of lip.
The boys were back up to their old tricks.
Funny thing, when the surf was up in the double overhead range, you didn’t see any
of this kind of behavior.
Goleta Surfing’s Chief Photographer, Jeff Gill, got some great shots from up and down the
coast on Monday. Below are a few of the best.
