Surfer’s Banquet

Talk about feast or famine.
We went for months with hardly a ripple rolling up on our shores. Now for the past,
what…..almost 2 months, we’ve had consistent, fun surf every day.

Students are flailing, and workers are falling behind.
But everybody’s surf skills are improving by leaps and bounds.

Please don’t think we’re complaining. We’re loving it. Take it when you can get it.

The conditions have been perfect as well. Calm and glassy, Chilly mornings warming into
beautiful afternoons, with the occasional offshore flow.

These were taken at Sands, mid November, 2009.

Even the locals can’t resist the perfect conditions.

This guy’s a regular fixture at Sands, always holding his own amongst all the students.

With waves breaking most everywhere, you could paddle this thing somewhere remote
and surf alone……….

This Golden was looking for his master. He was a pretty good swimmer and he swam
way out to where the set waves were breaking.

He eventually gave up and took it back to the beach, virtually unnoticed.

Be sure, Bobby Morris has been busy with all this surf.

So many waves, so little time….
Enjoy it while it lasts and remember this next June!
