Home Boys
Once in a while, a swell will sneak in at just the right angle and the sand bars will line
up in just the right way for the tide at just the right time, and the guys that are there
every day checking it and waiting for it to happen will be there. And they will jump on it.
That’s just what happened, mid January, 2012. And we were lucky enough to be there
with our camera.
Vinny Leonelli
Parker Waugh
Paul “Pesky” Franzen
Brian Wilcoxen
Matt Bohling
Terry “Burrhead” Franzen
Bobby Morris
While there has been waves, finding a clean session has been a bit of a challenge.
But finding a clean, glassy session with a bunch of friends, is like finding a four leaf clover.
There were just these few guys out, so we won’t keep labeling them.
You figure out who’s who.
Only one of them does stuff like this though….
Tube time Parker!
This got our vote for wave of the day.
Pesky goes in deep and comes out to tell about it.
What goes on behind the emerald curtain?
Burrhead, pushing it forward.
Wilcoxen style.
Bohling buries a rail.
So, Bobby drops in on a set wave….
And to most of us, this point would be called the beginning of the close out
that sends us to the rinse mode of the washer machine.
But because he doesn’t surf like most of us, he turns on the jets and enjoys a little tube ride.
But eventually, Mother Nature catches up to him.
Vinny backside.
Parker slashing.
Pesky going deep again.
My that’s a fat lip dropping on your head….
Matt decides to see what goes on in there…
Holy S***!!
Vinny decided it was time to make a Costco run.
So many waves, so little time.
Keep ’em coming….we hope.
